Would have given this a 5 star review but one of the 6 strands stopped working after 3 weeks. Batteries lasted almost a month with Duracell brand and 2 weeks with Raovac brand. Get good batteries.Super convenient for those with large yards or trees far out from the house without electricity ran 400 feet out. Perfect for my wreath that I place under the roof peak too. No unsightly extension cord.Holds up great to heavy rain and ice, but be sure to check your seals before closing the battery doors as they can easily move allowing moisture to get inside.These were really fun. My husband and I would go outside at sunset to watch the lights in our yard magically turn on. It became a nightly ritual with hot coffee. Our front yard is just over an acre, so when we initially turned them on, we had quite a walk between trees. These were so spot on that once the first tree lit up, I could count the steps my husband had to take to get to the next tree to turn them on initially and BOOM, the next tree would light up in the order that he turned each strand on.We will definitely purchase more every year as we have 3 acres to decorate. 3 strands were sufficient for a 15 foot tall, 5 foot across at the base, Deodore Cedar. 1 strand was MORE than enough for my wreath.I will update next year and let you know if they still work again.Wanted these lights for my valentine decorations. They enhanced the hearts I had on display for the holiday. Will also use for my Christmas wreath.Good purchase. You get two sets of lights.I used one indoors for my fireplace and one set outdoors for a wreath. Have them turned on everyday and leave it on so it could start on its own, the lights power has decreased and dimmed compared to first operating it, and that lasted about only two weeks.Maybe I need to change batteries? I haven’t tried to figure it out but either way I think it’s a good purchaseWe had a wreath that stopped working and decided to replace the lights with these and then use it on our front door and it was fantastic, auto feature really worked well and the wreath was a beautiful addition to our Christmas lights. Batteries lasted us pretty good, do not recall how long exactly but I felt it was good for everything we got out of it. Would buy again and recommend.I love the fact that it's only got one button that you have to deal with and you can go to 9 different speeds of the blinking lights. I'm using the timer function is so easy. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it's battery operated instead of plug in. But I can deal with it. Good value for your money.Very nice lights. The battery compartment is very sturdy. I use these outside so that is important. The timer is a big help.I had a small pine tree, too far from the house to run an extension cord. So I bought these lights to decorate it. The rest of the house is on a light sensor, so the lights come on at dark (~5:30pm) and stay on for six hours. So...I strung these (four strings, each with 3 AA batteries) and set them to the last setting - steady on. They work beautifully! They come on around 6:00pm, and stay on for six hours (close to what the other lights do), then they automatically turn off for the next 18 hours. I haven't had them long enough to tell you how the battery life is, I'll update when the batteries give out and have to be replaced. Really like them. They do exactly what I wanted.Update: I promised I would update on battery life. I've had these lights up and running every day now for two weeks and the batteries are still going strong.When I first received these I was pretty excited to decorate my outdoor Christmas trees. I loved that they were battery operated as this gives me the ability to use and store them as needed! Now after a few weeks of using the lights I am finding that it’s eating through batteries very quickly. I can put 3 brand new Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries in and just after 8 hours of run time the lights are very dim until I put another 3 brand new batteries in. This is why I only rated it a one star for value for money because it’s eating through expensive batteries like nothing. They are very easy to use and the timer function is great. I just wish they didn’t eat through so many batteries that fast. Especially considering they are led lights which are supposed to use less energy/power drain from batteries. I don’t know if all BrizLabs battery operated lights do this or it’s just the two sets I purchased are just defective. Either way I am not that happy with this purchase. As you see in the images I even tried using a different brand of batteries to see if that was causing the problem but it was not. No matter the brand of battery after the timer turns the lights off by the next night I am having to replace the batteries.
