Spyder 5005717 Smoke Euro Style Tail Lights for 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Enhanced Visibility & Style for Night Driving & Off-Road Adventures

I had the stock Jeep tail lights which had some kind of short-circuit that kept them from functioning properly. They were always functioning intermittently. I looked at several versions of tail lights and these were the best looking. Many of the other brands had too much bling and looked tacky.These are reasonably priced and extremely easy to install. The only issue was deciding whether to tie the 2 LEDs on the side to the brakes or to the turn signal. Eventually, I went with the turn signal because it seemed more useful. However, these LEDs are *RED* and the turn signal is amber. I checked the US DOT and the TX DOT sites and they both say you can use red or amber for turn signals, so it seems to be okay. I would have preferred it if the LEDs were amber like the amber turn signal.There were no instructions what-so-ever; not even on the manufacturer's site. It wasn't hard to figure out how to splice in the LED lights but I can see how some people would have concerns about it.This light has two bulbs in the "white" section, one for a white reverse bulb and one for an amber turn signal bulb. The stock Jeep uses an amber panel with a white light on the turn signal so all the current lights on your vehicle are white/clear. The vendor includes two amber bulbs but you have to transfer your existing white bulbs for the rest of the installation. Also, I didn't find the included amber bulbs until I was throwing out the box. They were just free floating in the big shipping box and got wedged down in a corner, covered up by the packing materials.Quality is "okay". Not as well constructed as the factory lights but they'll probably serve their purpose. All in all, it's a good product and I'd recommend it.
